Willamettelocalfoods.com, based out of Eugene, gives residents of Brownsville, Scio, Sweet Home and Lebanon access to fresh produce and other foods year-round.

By logging onto the computer and paying with credit cards or paypal, consumers can connect with local farmers they otherwise might not be able to support.

Would-be sellers must offer local products processed in certified facilities (bread, for instance, must be made with local wheat and baked in a certified kitchen) and be registered with Willamette Local Foods. Every week, they log on to list what they have for sale.

Buyers log onto willamettelocalfoods.com, select their purchases and pay in advance. Delivery to the pickup point is included in the price. By Monday night, each farmer knows what products have been sold that week.
