Eugene Local Foods is an online farmers’ market that allows shoppers to order groceries from local farmers via iPhones.

A small Eugene startup, Local Food Marketplace, created the technology that powers Eugene Local Foods, and 60 other online markets like it in the United States and Canada.

The company is growing rapidly, fueled by consumers — including restaurants and schools in some markets — who want to easily buy products from local farms.

“Last year sales volume grew by 100 percent and we’re on target to do the same this year,” CEO Amy McCann said.
