Oregon Health & Science University said it would fund the project with $15 million; Sky Lakes Medical Center will contribute $15 million.
The new 88,000-square-foot building will go on the west side of the Sky Lakes campus, consolidating several clinics around Klamath Falls. It will encompass a clinic setting, along with OHSU education and research offices and the new academic headquarters for the OHSU Campus for Rural Health.
…Sky Lakes has a track record of training family medicine residents who go on to practice in rural areas, including Klamath Falls. CEO Paul Stewart said the model will be applied to other specialties, including nurse practitioners, physical and occupational therapists, mental health provides and dietitians.
