Mayoral gathering promises to tackle what is becoming an overwhelming problem for cities.
The five mayors pledged to form an alliance on homelessness issues, a spokeswoman for Portland Mayor Charlie Hales said Thursday. The pledge was reached in meetings between Los Angeles’s Eric Garcetti, Hales, San Francisco’s Ed Lee, Seattle’s Ed Murray and Eugene’s Kitty Piercy.
