Fans of Portland’s soccer team can use a promo code that will trigger a contribution to the Timbers Community Fund.

Fans of Portland’s soccer team can use a promo code that will trigger a contribution to the Timbers Community Fund.
The “Timbers View” option within the Uber app will be live for Sunday’s match.
As part of the program, the Timbers Community Fund will receive $5 for each person taking their first ride to the stadium if those fans use the promo code “GOTIMBERS.”
First-time users entering that promo code could also receive up to $20 off their first ride.

“This unique partnership with Uber gives fans that are not able to take public transportation, walk or bike to the match a safe, reliable way to get to and from the stadium on match day, along with the opportunity to support the Timbers Community Fund,” said Timbers president of business operations Mike Golub in a news release.
