Online retailer partners with New Seasons and others to provide users with one-hour deliveries of groceries, prepared meals and baked goods.

In addition to New Seasons, Amazon Prime Now is partnering with World Foods, Uwajimaya and Cupcake Jones, and plans to “add local stores to the service,” according to a news release.

“We know and appreciate how much people love shopping at New Seasons, but it’s not always possible to make it over to your neighborhood store,” said Wendy Collie, President and CEO of New Seasons Market in the release. “We all have those days when life gets in the way: we can’t get out of work on time; we’ve got guests coming and are too busy cleaning the house; or worse, you’ve already been to the store and forgot the butter! We partnered with Amazon Prime Now to meet our customers where they often need us most, at home.”

Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery costs $7.99. Customers can download the app for their iOS or Android smartphones.

Most of Portland, and some of Beaverton and Bethany are covered by the service.
