Google’s new TV-and-PC-uniting product is based around Intel’s Atom processor.
Intel has a partnership with Google and Sony on a new product called “Google TV,” that will connect television with the Internet.
The product is based around Intel’s Atom processor, which could prove to be a breakthrough for the company, although some are skeptical of Intel’s viability beyond its main computer business.

Google TV, unveiled Thursday morning at a Google technology conference in San Francisco, will be sold in a variety of permutations beginning late this year.
