Intel will cut 317 jobs in California; the number of Oregonians affected is still unknown.

Word of Intel layoffs hit in mid-June but the California-based chip maker has been mum on details. With filings with the state of California the company has indicated 165 people are being laid off permanently. Additionally, 152 permanent layoffs are happening at the company’s Folsom location, outside Sacramento.

According to the Sacramento Business Journal, this equates to 2.5 percent of the Folsom workforce.
