Home sales in Portland drop in November

The sales numbers were down from October, but up from November of 2013.

The numbers were released Friday to member Realtors by RMLS. They showed that homes are staying on the market about 69 days on average, 11 days fewer than they did a year earlier. Inventory of homes on the market, including homes under construction, ticked upward to 3.2 months.

“Pretty typical for Thanksgiving closings,” said Dustin Miller, a broker with RealtyTrust. “Hard to close before, during or shortly after.”
