The sneaker and sporting-goods company says the three men took a “treasure trove of Nike product designs, research information and business plans” to Adidas.

The 50-page complaint, filed Monday in Multnomah County Circuit Court, accuses Denis Dekovic, Marc Dolce and Mark Miner of all manner of subterfuge, beginning in April. The lawsuit seeks up to $10 million in damages. Attorneys for Nike and Adidas declined to comment after a hearing Tuesday at which Nike was expected to seek a temporary restraining order in connection with the case.

When Adidas announced the addition of Dekovic, Dolce and Miner, it came at a time when Nike, the world’s largest sports footwear and apparel brand, appeared to be widening the already yawning revenue gap with its closest global rival, Germany-based Adidas. The hiring of Dekovic, Dolce and Miner had been seen as a coup for Adidas, which has its North American headquarters in Portland and has placed special emphasis on growing sales in the U.S.
