The residence hall would house 500 and allow for upgrades to Bean, Hamilton and Walton halls.

Altogether, rooms with 2,100 beds will be renovated, according to the agenda for a UO Board of Trustees committee meeting today. The full board is set to consider the matter during an all-day meeting on Thursday.

Despite the glut of private student housing that’s sprung up around campus in recent years, UO administrators say that on-campus housing gives students more than just a place to live.
