The 130-year-old Baggage and Carriage building will undergo a $5 million renovation.
The building, located at the corner of Southwest Pine and Second and built in 1886, is now under the watch of Portland design-build firm Siteworks.
The project, which will maintain the historic character of the building — originally used to store horses, carriages and luggage — will include seismic and energy-efficient upgrades. Contractors will also finish off the second and third floors for about 18,000 square feet of creative office space.
