The accelerator, a 12-week mentorship and business development program, is part of the state-backed economic development initiative called RAIN — Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network.
RAIN’s goal is to pool the resources of the University of Oregon and Oregon State University; the cities of Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis and Albany; and the business communities of Lane, Linn and Benton counties.
The aim is to turn new technologies into companies and create well-paid jobs in the southern Willamette Valley.
