Proposed new bridge would link Clark County, Multnomah County


The bridge would exit Washington from east Vancouver, span the Columbia River and end in Oregon at Northeast Airport Way.

The bridge would exit Washington from east Vancouver, span the Columbia River and end in Oregon at Northeast Airport Way.

None of the official powers-that-be, such as the Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber or his Washington Counterpart, Jay Inslee, are involved in the new effort.

As currently configured, the new bridge would connect in the north with a major highway. But on the Oregon side it would end in the middle of a neighborhood of small businesses and light industrial parks.
