The Portland-based kale chip maker was purchased by the organic dried fruit company, Made In Nature.

The deal will result in a new Portland-based company, Pacific Superfood Snacks, that plans to expand beyond kale chips to include other “superfood” snacks such as coconut chips, said Sarah Pool, founder and CEO of Pacific Northwest Kale Chips.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pool plans to grow the team from its current 10 members to 40 over the next 12 months.
