The small company – co-founder and chief executive Tyler McKinley declined to say just how many people it employs – makes software that marketers can integrate into companies’ own apps. MobileRQ’s software customizes apps for individual users, so a hotel chain’s app will include information about the nearest venue, for example, or what’s on the menu at the hotel restaurant.

“Mobile is where people’s attention is turning, both for eyeballs and for transactions,” McKinley said.
