The town has been without a full-time grocer since December.

Jessica Moore, 20, along with some help from her parents, is working to open Farmlands Market, a small grocery store that would fill the space of the former Old Time Scoops restaurant, at Oregon Avenue and Front Street, on the west side of Interstate 5.

Moore has no formal business training, and she hasn’t set a firm opening date. But the efforts of the Creswell native represent the closest the city has come to having a grocery store in the five months since Ray’s Food Place closed.
