Lattice Semiconductor’s first quarter revenues totaled $96.6 million, up 36% from the same quarter in 2013.

Lattice chief executive Darin Billerbeck credited growth in consumer products, and for communications products in China, for the company’s improving results.

Lattice makes field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), a customizable chip used in everything from industrial equipment to Google Glass. After a decade of tilting unsuccessfully at the top end of the FPGA market, Lattice is suddenly thriving in a middle tier – posting its best numbers since the dot-com era.
