By applying industrial food-processing techniques, CEO Elena Medo hopes to dramatically expand access to human milk. But unlike nearly all milk banks across the country, she intends to make a profit.
“We’re trying to get this milk out to the 15 million preterm babies across the world,” she said. “The milk can really save lives.”
