AHA!’s revenue increased 30% in 2013 to approximately $10 million; the agency projected another 30% sales growth this year.

The 22-year-old agency has flourished as it has embraced every means of storytelling — from graphics to social media to video. In the past five years, the agency has doubled the number of employees, growing especially fast in the last 12 months. Its latest hire, for chief creative officer, figures to expand the agency’s storytelling tactics even more.

Brent Wilson started Monday after leaving Momentum Worldwide, a New York-based branding agency. Wilson was senior vice president and group creative director in the St. Louis office of Worldwide, an agency perhaps best known for producing events for clients such American Express, Coca-Cola, Kraft and Microsoft. The company has five offices in the U.S., 36 around the world.

Wilson will be the first AHA! chief creative officer hired from outside the agency, which incorporated in 1994.
