Twenty-nine Oregonians died on the job last year.

According to the Department of Consumer & Business Services, 30 people died on the job in 2012. Seventeen deaths, an all-time low, occurred in 2010.

The fields with the highest number of deaths in 2013 were construction and logging, with seven and six workers killed in each field, respectively. Construction, a highly dangerous line of work, also accounted for a significant number of workplace deaths the year prior.
