Tonkon Torp attorney Sadie Concepción is a Founding Member of the Tilikum Choir Board of Directors. The Tilikum Choir Community brings together enthusiastic singers from the Portland Metro area to foster connection and create joy through high-quality, passionate choral singing.

Concepción became involved with Tilikum Choir as a member of its chorus. When the choir conductors and directors expressed the desire to register the choir as a nonprofit, Concepción led the registration effort, alongside Tonkon colleagues, representing the choir on a pro bono basis. During the formation process, the Tilikum conductors invited her to join the choir’s founding board of directors.

Concepción is a tireless pro bono advocate who has done impactful work with such groups as The CLiF Project, Legal Aid Roseburg, and The Ramos Project. She has also offered support or mentorship assistance to such programs and organizations as the Campaign for Equal Justice and Lewis & Clark Law School. She is the recipient of the Pro Bono Challenge Award from the Oregon State Bar’s New Lawyers Division.

Concepción is an attorney in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department where she represents entities and individuals in complex commercial litigation matters, including trade secret, products liability, and contract disputes. She is experienced in state and federal court—having tried both bench and jury trials—as well as in arbitration proceedings.
