Deluxe Corporation named the small Marion County town as a finalist in the Small Business Revolution on Main Street project.
Wabash, Indiana is Silverton’s competitor.
The winner will receive $500,000, which covers marketing and business services and other revitalization support.
“Nowhere are small businesses more important – or more under siege – than in small towns throughout America,” said Amanda Brinkman, chief brand and communications officer for Deluxe in the press release. “After sharing small business stories from across the country in 2015, the Small Business Revolution sparked a real conversation about how much Americans love their small towns and how important locally-owned businesses are to the economy.”
A public vote is open online at SmallBusinessRevolution.org until May 10.
