Muut, which facilitates online discussion, has bought Talki.
The move brings Muut’s user base to about 1.8 million.
Talki’s product will remain available. Eventually, customers can upgrade from Talki to Muut with one click, said Muut co-founder and CEO Courtney Couch ina blog post announcing the deal.
“The Talki journey has seen us go from a small product to over a million communities,” wrote Dan Bragiel, co-founder of Talki, in the blog post. “We’re excited Talki will be joining Muut to take it to the next level. This team knows forums and are a very dedicated group,”

Muut secured $770,000 in funding from the Portland Seed Fund.
