Oil Can Henry’s has been acquired.
Ashland Inc., owner of Valvoline, has purchased the brand.
Gary Rhodes, an Ashland spokesman, said the company has no plans to change the Oil Can Henry’s brand “without first conducting in-market research to evaluate the brand equity from the consumer’s point of view.”
Oil Can Henry’s is the nation’s 14th-largest quick-lube network, with 89 stores in six states. Thirty-eight of those stores are in Oregon. The 37-year-old company employs around 435 workers.
