The “Preserving America’s Transit and Highways Act” is scheduled for a Thursday afternoon committee meeting, just hours after House Republicans are set to push forward a competing bill.
The Wyden-Hatch bill would provide only short-term relief to the fund through the end of the calendar year, not the long-term stability that the Oregon transportation officials sought.
