Portland-based online retail startup Brandlive raised $1.6 million in an investment round led by the Oregon Angel Fund.
The company (formerly known as Your Brandlive) enables live video chats between retailers and customers. For example, a company using Brandlive’s software could hold an online event with hundreds or thousands of potential customers, demonstrating a product and fielding live questions from viewers.
Brandlive, a member of the Portland Seed Fund’s third class and winner of last spring’s Angel Oregon competition, had previously disclosed $200,000 in outside investment — that sum is included in today’s round.
