DropNplay’s rate will max out at $15 an hour for one child, with discounts for siblings and parents who buy an annual membership.

Experts and providers say there’s a definite need for alternate-hour child care. But government statistics on the prevalence of alternate shift workers are as hard to come by as the care itself.
