Eight months after Old Town Portland streets being closed to cars on Friday and Saturday nights, bar owners and residents are still opposed to the closures.

The district is suffocating the area, says Adam Milne, owner of Old Town Pizza on Northwest Davis.

“We’ve worked so hard on this neighborhood,” he says. “Eight years ago people wouldn’t cross Burnside. … Now people see barricades, and they think it’s not safe.”
