Oregon’s revamped foreclosure mediation program launched this week.
It’s no secret that participation has been disappointing in the first year, due largely to the unilateral decision by many of the largest banks not to participate. Only a tiny fraction of the requested mediations have actually taken place. The good news: The new and improved mediation program no longer allows banks to bypass the program.
