Troutdale-based Pacific Cargo Services was auctioned off in bankruptcy, leaving Washington and Oregon workers without weeks of pay.

Most remaining assets of Pacific Cargo Services were sold Thursday to Postal Express. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company made a $125,000 offer to keep operating the business, which has 11 outposts and 200 employees throughout the Northwest.

Many workers learned of the buyout Monday, and discovered they wouldn’t receive nearly three weeks’ worth of earnings as part of the deal.
