Portland entrepreneur Abram Goldman-Armstrong hopes that cider is the next big thing in microbrew-loving Portland.

In fact, one of Portland’s biggest beer fans (he was actually the winner of a Timber’s Army Home Brew Contest) is ditching the hops to try his hand at ‘garage cidery.’ He even got enough people excited about the idea that he was able to raise about $20,000 to get started.

Goldman-Armstrong loves his ciders – he grew up on an orchard in Oregon and has actually been making it for years. He always wanted to share it with others, so he started a Kickstarter campaign to get his dream off the ground.
