Bank CEO steps down to lead SBA


Eugene-based Summit Bank CEO Ann Marie Mehlum is stepping down to become associate administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Capital Access.

Eugene-based Summit Bank CEO Ann Marie Mehlum is stepping down to become associate administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Capital Access.

Mehlum will report directly to U.S. Small Business Administrator Karen Mills, who is a member of President Obama’s Cabinet.

Summit Bank President Craig Wanichek will become president and CEO, effective Aug. 5.

In her new position Mehlum will oversee the agency’s lending programs, which provide more than $100 billion in capital to entrepreneurs and business owners across the country in partnership with several thousand banks and financial institutions.
