The Hillsboro Hops hope to bring a business boom to Hillsboro.

The Hops have been putting the finishing touches on Hillsboro Ballpark for months and it seems to have paid off. The home opener Monday was sold out.

The stadium is a $15 million investment for the city, so residents hope it will pay off not just on the field, but throughout the city.

Businesses around the field will benefit, as well as shops and restaurants downtown. The owners of Primrose and Tumbleweeds on Main, Doug and Dawn Sellers, have season tickets to the games and are thinking about providing a shuttle from their shop to the ballpark on game days.
