Real estate technology company IDX Inc. is expanding in Eugene.
Founded in December 2003, IDX has grown over the past decade into a national leader in real estate search applications. It creates the platform that developers use to display MLS (Multiple Listing Service) data on real estate websites. The technology enables a potential homebuyer, for example, to go to a Realtor’s website and search for homes in a certain neighborhood, in a certain price bracket, with certain amenities.
More than 30,000 real estate agents are using IDX’s platform, and people using those agents’ sites to search for homes make more than 200 million queries on IDX’s system each month, said Chad Barczak, who is CEO of IDX and owns the company with Jeff Kast.
