Sherwood residents attended a City Council meeting to protest the impending arrival of a Walmart.

More specific to the almost 19,000-person community, Sherwood residents worried Wal-Mart would further degrade the fast-growing city’s small-town feel.

The company and developer say the supercenter creates 250 jobs and will keep residents shopping in Sherwood, helping the community as a whole.
