Eugene Airport celebrates 70 years of service on May 1, 2013. It served a record 809,457 passengers in 2012.
Today, the airport is regarded as a medium-size terminal and compares itself with the Bozeman Yellowstone International, Baton Rouge Metropolitan, the Rick Husband Amarillo International and the Bangor International.
In all, the airport has been served over the years by 13 different carriers. The current number is four — though that will soon climb to six.
