Oregon’s unemployment rate hit its lowest point in four years in March, at 8.2%.
The current unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been since October of 2008, when the rate was 7.7 percent — but it’s still considered high, according to David Cooke, an economist with the department.
Unemployment in Oregon also continues to hover above the national rate, which was a reported 7.6 percent for March.
