Zoo celebrates Packy’s 51st birthday

The Oregon Zoo celebrated Packy’s 51st birthday this weekend. He is believed to be the oldest male Asian elephant in North America.

The “elephantastic” event is held each year on or near Packy’s birthday. It’s not unusual for some elephants to make into their 60s.
