Downtown Beaverton businesses can now apply for low-interest loans between $5,000-50,000 from Banner Bank to improve their storefront facades.
The city already offers business owners matching grants of up to $20,000 for storefront projects. Businesses can combine matching grants and loans for the same projects.
“Prospective customers take about four seconds to decide whether or not to enter a store,” said Mayor Denny Doyle in a statement. “By beautifying our downtown, we can bring in more business and revitalize a key component of our city.”
