The study examined how changes in crop yields affect the gross domestic product of each country and their ability to trade these crops.
While the US fared well, France came out best, and 14 countries would see a drop in their GDPs. Trade barriers factored heavily into the calculations as well as production capabilities.
The US GDP would raise by 1% as higher demand for crops outweighed higher prices. What are the implications for the Northwest’s agriculture sector?
