Portland-based Drive Oregon gave out $179,926 to six pro-electric vehicle projects.

“Oregon has a strong and growing network of companies making everything from advanced power electronics and software to metal parts, composites and next-generation battery materials,” said Mark Frohnmayer, Arcimoto’s founder and president, in a statement. “This grant is great news for us, but also for our many Oregon-based suppliers and partners.

Drive Oregon had previously made some $200,000 in matching grants that have generated more than $2 million in additional investments, said Jeff Allen, Drive Oregon’s executive director.
