As the masses prepare to descend upon malls for Black Friday, Portland area mall managers offer tips to make shopping a little easier.

Lloyd Center: Ann Grimmer, marketing director, said most mall doors (including Nordstrom/Stanford door, west doors by Old Navy and those at Northeast Halsey Street) will be staffed with greeters who can answer questions and provide lists of open stores. Best spots for in-and-out shoppers is on-street parking along Halsey. Grimmer and others will bestow free gift cards on Black Friday and she said they’ll be looking for festive folks “enjoying the whole mall as opposed to just waiting in a line.”

As with most malls, Lloyd Center was busy last year until around 2 a.m. last year but saw a lull (read: Good time to shop) between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
