Portland advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy unveiled a new commercial for Sony featuring James Bond, to coincide with the release of the new 007 movie, “Skyfall.”
The ad stemmed from Sony appointing W+K in April “for key brand and product initiatives for its consumer electronics business,” W+K Portland spokeswoman Katie Hull said, declining to describe the relationship further.
The TV spot is called “Mouse and Cat,” and began airing Friday. In it, a mysterious figure storms an embassy and is tracked and identified using Sony technology. The commercial was created along with a video game, available online, developed by W+K Portland, in collaboration with game production company Hide&Seek and development partner Existor Ltd., both based in London.
