The Trail Blzers named sports executive Chris McGowan as the team’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
McGowan replaces Larry Miller, who resigned over the summer after serving as team president for five years.
McGowan joins the Blazers after serving as Chief Operating Officer of AEG Sports, which oversaw the operations of the NHL Champion Los Angeles Kings and the MLS’ Los Angeles Galaxy. He will manage the business operations of the team and the Rose Garden and will report to Peter McLoughlin, who has been elevated to CEO of Vulcan Sports and Entertainment.
