Atlanta-based T5 Data Centers has acquired 15 acres in Hillsboro to build a new 200,000-square foot server farm.

T5 said its Hillsboro server farm will include energy-saving features and take advantage of Oregon’s relatively cool climate to reduce energy costs.

“Hillsboro offers the best combination of low taxes, low power costs, a reliable infrastructure and easy access for out-of-region companies,” T5 President Pete Marin said in a written statement. “We anticipate the T5@Portland data center to be a showcase for responsible development, and will demonstrate to customers that we can design and engineer to embrace energy efficiencies while continuing to offer our clients the resiliency and uptime they require.”
