Portland General Electric is seeking bids for new renewable resources to help comply with Oregon’s renewable energy standard.

With a request for proposals filing, the Portland-based electric utility said that it wants to amass around 100 average megawatts of renewable power — enough to serve more than 83,000 typical residential customers.

The utility could meet that goal either from one project or many, but said it will only consider projects that produce at least 10 megawatts of power from any of wind, geothermal, biomass, biogas, solar or hydroelectric resources.
