A proposed natural gas export terminal at Coos Bay will now include a power plant to chill and condense the fuel into LNG.
At a public meeting Tuesday night, opponents of the project heckled a spokesman for the project, Roy Hemmingway, and officials of the state Department of Energy threatened at one point to shut the meeting down.
To build a power plant, Jordan Cove needs a permit from the Oregon Department of Energy.
