The Oregon Brewers Festival generates about $30 million and adds 350 jobs to the local economy, a new study shows.

Eastern Oregon University professor Jeff Dense and several of his students interviewed 680 attendees during the first three days of the 2012 Oregon Brewers Festival to get the data for this study – a sample large enough to yield a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

Dense says the $30 million that the festival generates should be of interest to the policy makers and tourism bureau officials alike.
