As in many other parts of the state, home sales in Florence saw a recent boost.
Florence home sales increased 20% in the third quarter over the same period last year, in addition to an 87% jump between the second and third quarters this year.
Prices also have climbed, to a median of $203,000 in the most recent quarter, up from $180,000 in the second quarter and $179,000 a year ago.
Although regional appraiser Tawfik Ahdab and several local real estate agents said there is no guarantee that the market has bottomed out, they’re cautiously optimistic.
